Tuesday the 30th of May, 2023, 7pm, Live and on Zoom
Celebrating the relationship with Napier University Publishing, Edinburgh Literary Salon is paying a visit to Bruntsfield this May!
In August this year, the Edinburgh Literary Salon is publishing a second anthology in conjunction with Edinburgh Napier University’s publishing Masters course, with brand new writing from a fine selection of emerging and established writers.
The Salon is delighted that Edinburgh Napier has offered to host this month’s event at the Merchiston Campus in Bruntsfield, on the usual last Tuesday of the month (30th May). The focus, naturally, will be on publishing, and the Big Reveal of the evening will be to announce the title of the next anthology! There will be a chance to hear from the students involved in the project, an introduction to some of the anthology's contributors, and a brief talk with a local publisher closely associated with the Salon: Peter Burnet from Leamington Books.
Since the Literary Salon is usually held in a pub, there may be a move to retire to a Holy Corner hostelry once the wine has run out!
Edinburgh Literary Salon welcomes anyone with an interest in the literary arts at any level. The venue is fully accessible, and for those elsewhere the presentation will be live-streamed via zoom. Attendees are also warmly invited to arrive earlier and visit the Edinburgh Napier University Degree Show on display at Merchiston campus.
Information on how to get to the venue can be found below, and information on how to access the zoom will be sent before the event. Registration to attend is via Eventbrite (see link below) and is, as always, free.

To support the work of the Literary Salon, we invite donations for the glass of wine, or encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund our work. And our first anthology is still on sale here!
Tickets are available from Eventbrite – we will send a zoom invitation to all attendees anyway.
We look forward to seeing you in person or in the zoom-room!
*We acknowledge that some people prefer to attend the Zoom without video, so we invite people to use the ‘comments’ section to give input, paste relevant links, and ask questions. We encourage Salon attendees to say ‘bye’ if they so wish when departing! We will save any links from the comments to share to our mailing-list and social media, and we will not be recording the zoom.
