NEXT SALON: January Poetry Salon From Your Home

edinburghlitsalon

Our first Salon of 2021 continues our online run of Virtual Salons. Since the last Tuesday of January falls close to Burns Night, our theme is POETRY! We are delighted to feature the fabulous poetry festival, StAnza.

Our regular guest, Annie Rutherford, will give her usual enthusiastic introduction to the festival programme which this year has an extra-long run, from March 6th to the 14th.

We will also have a look back as outgoing Festival Director, Eleanor Livingstone, gives a retrospective of her experiences over the last 10 years – and more!

Finally, we are delighted that StAnza have asked one of their performers from this year’s Festival, Courtney Conrad to do a short set of poems.

We hope you will be able to join us for our presentations, for questions, and for general chatter on all things poetic – and other literature. Perhaps we’ll raise a wee dram to The Bard himself!

The event begins at 6pm, with presentations during the first hour, after which you are welcome to hang around in the zoom to chat, or even maybe form breakout rooms if there are plenty of folk. You must, however, supply your own dram!

To help us get a feel for numbers please sign up via Eventbrite if you are able – if you cannot, we will make the zoom-link available to our subscribers shortly before the Event begins.
